About Us
Italia Conti Associate schools were created to meet the needs of those unable to attend full time theatre arts school.
Italia Conti Associate School Ruislip opened in September 2006 and has flourished into a busy school offering a wide range of classes for the performing arts. Our associate school is linked to the main academy in London. We have the advantage of using several of the academy teaching staff which guarantees the standard of classes on offer. Pupils from our school also have the opportunity of auditioning for the Italia Conti theatrical agency.
Our school provides classes during term time all day on Saturdays at Haydon School plus classes on Monday evenings at Greenwood Primary in Northolt. All our studio locations are easily accessable and are close to many areas in Middlesex including Ruislip, Ickenham, Northwood, Uxbridge, Pinner, Northolt and Harrow. Students can take as few or as many classes as they choose and are banded according to age or grade. Classes are offered to toddler, children and adults.
Syllabus examination classes in Ballet, Modern and Tap are in grades with students moving from grade to grade according to proficiency and/or examination in syllabuses of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD). We have exams session at least once per term. LAMDA examination classes are offered in small groups of 6 to 8 to children in narrow age bands. In addition the following classes are available: Singing, Acting, Musical Theatre, Street, Break Dance, Power Moves, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contempory and Pointe.
The Ruislip Associate school stage productions twice each year at a local theatre and are often asked to perform at events. Recently some of our students have appeared at the Wimbledon Theatre and the Piccadilly Theatre in the West End.
Some of our students have gone on to train full time at the Academy in London, after successfully auditioning for the ITALIA CONTI ASSOCIATE SCHOOL ‘SCHOLARSHIP’. A unique fees award only available to Associate school pupils.
